Waterfall | Hogenakkal Falls
Hogenakkal Falls is a waterfall in South India on the Kaveri river in the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu India.It is located 180 km from Bangalore via NH44 (takes 3 hours 30 mins) and 46 km from Dharmapuri.
Hohenakkal is good spot for one day trip. I will suggest to go Hognakkal in dry season not immediately after the mansoon as Boating in Hogenakkal is allowed during the dry-season as the water falls are not strong enough to disrupt the passage of the boats.
It is not recommended to stay in Hogenakkal at night as there are very less good hotel.
The view of the waterfalls from the boat ride is absolutely breath taking.
Oil Massages are very popular in this area. Multiple masseurs are found all over the city. Mostly male, these masseurs carry herbal oils and are very well versed with pressure points. A few minute massage from any of them is sure to relax you completely. People (Men) take oil massages under the sky here wearing their jokey which could be an awkword moment if you are going with faimily.
